The recent campaign that Oli Kellett shot for DLKW Lowe have just won an Epica Grand Prix in the Outdoor category for “Pennies for Life”. The Microloan Foundation is a charity that encourages African women to set up their own businesses. The campaign enabled passers by to use their mobile phones to interact with a giant screen and donate their ‘loose change’ to the cause, receiving a ‘thank you’ on the billboard in return as virtual pennies cascaded to form portraits of women that have benefitted from the charity.
I had great fun in styling this, so its a real honour its won this accolade.
Its a very small world sometimes in this industry, so small that coincidence doesn’t really come into it. I’ve been styling on the print campaign to support Ogilvy‘s tv ad for Dove shot by Veronique Vial – which my bessie Ellie Britton over at Blink had been producing on the tv.
Here is a version of one of the finished ads.
So I finally got to see the Crazy Horse Girls in action last week with my Bessie Emma D at their Forever Crazy pop up show at Southbank. What can I say… “Ooh la la”!
If you don’t know anything about them, have a look at them in action here. I believe each are cast to be exactly the same measurements, so height, weight, bust, waist, hip, shoe – the lot!
Although they don’t always wear a lot their costumes, set design and music for the show is AMAZING!
More ads to launch but coming to press, print and online soon!
Some more info about the Gillette Movember campaign :
During the month of Movember you and your facial marvels should make a trip to London’s Newburgh Street. During the month of Movembera, Gillette are offering a complimentary ‘tashe touch-up’ for all at their new pop-up barbershop, “The Best a Mo Can Get”. Better still, Gillette will be donating £100,000 to men’s health charities when the shop closes.
Looking rather lovely Mr Sam and Ms Bryony!
